Greetings to all who have taken the time to review our offerings as one of the smallest Rotary Clubs in Rotary District 5520. We are sixteen (16) strong, with big hearts, open minds and do not shirk our responsibilities to the Community nor to Rotarian principles. We accept challenges and see them through to completion.
Our Club was founded in 1997 with a Strategic Plan to support the Objectives of Rotary, to follow the Four-Way-Test and to reach out to all areas of the World offering Hope and sustenance. Our Web page has information about the many activities we follow and endorse. We are dedicated to the Rotary philosophical structure of Avenues of Service which takes us to Club Service, Community Service, Vocational Service and International Service and the recently added, New Generations (Youth). Since Chartering, we have adopted a more efficient way to deal with our programs through the five Committee system approved by Rotary International. Those committees include, Club Administration, Public Relations, Community Service, Membership and International/Foundation/Youth. Each Committee has specific duties to accomplish but must interact with each of the other committees.
Throughout its history, the Club has been a leader in the District. We boast two Past District Governors as members, District Youth programs are under the direction of PDG Jackie Morgan Tomko. PDG Dan Schulte is has been the District Historian for over five years and coordinates the District Rotary Friendship Exchange and Fellowship programs.. Don Powell, our Charter President assists District leadership on the Group Study Exchange Committee.
Franklin Mountains RC Rotarians are a close knit and outgoing society. We attend all District Conferences and Conventions, send our President Elect to District Training , perform necessary training at the Club level and support international as well as local causes. We invite all interested to attend our meetings and to consider joining us as active members of the Club. We meet on Thursday nights at 6 pm at the Community College Transmountain Campus in the Administrative board room on the north end.
We pride ourselves on the accomplishments over the years. Click on the appropriate link on the Site Map to obtain an overview of what the Club has done over the years.
Yours in Rotary and best wishes for a healthy and prosperous 2011-2012
Dan Schulte
